My Website Work
When I’m not flying around on a Snowboard I’m a freelance website designer and developer, and have worked on many varied and exciting projects over the last few years.
I work with HTML, CSS, PHP, jQuery, WordPress and Expression Engine to name a few, and am always looking to learn and improve my skills and language knowledge.
Below are a few example of website I’ve worked on recently. If you have any questions, would like a quote, or just want to send me a friendly message then please head on over to the contact page to get in touch.
Cornwall Financial – September 2011
I was approached to take this from a Photoshop file into a structured HTML/CSS layout ready for PHP includes and a back-end CMS to be integrated. This was a relatively quick project and painless project that I enjoyed working on.

Vino Virtuoso – May 2011
I worked with Vino Virtuoso to develop their “Explore our Cellars” page. Their CMS was WordPress and I worked with that, jQuery and PHP to develop an interactive wine cellar, with a carousel of wines for the client to choose from.

When the user clicks on the left/right arrows, the carousel moves accordingly, and when the user clicks on a bottle, the thumbnail moves to the centre of the carousel and the information about that wine is displayed below. This was an interesting project as it required me to work quickly and efficiently to develop this into a elegant and informative webpage.

The Crown Hotel, Wells – April 2011
The Crown contacted me wanting a new, fresh website design that was easy to update and edit. The solution I came to was to use WordPress with a custom made theme that allowed them to have the design they wanted whilst keeping it simple for them to add pages, events and to edit content.

The Unpackaged Travel Company – March/April 2011
I worked with The Unpackaged Travel Company to deliver a great, new website design that let them change and update content quickly and easily. The design brief was that the website be clean and not cluttered with information. They also wanted a lot of visual space, which we developed into a large image carousel that draws the user into wanting to find out more.

This website was built using WordPress as the CMS, and I developed an existing theme into a custom solution for the client using CSS and jQuery.
If you’d like to see any more examples of work, then feel free to get in touch and I’ll be happy to send samples.
